Psychiatrists are invited to apply for the post of Consultant (Child and Adolescent) within a CAMHS Outreach Team (COT) of the Comprehensive CAMH service.
This newly created team is following a service re-design and has two main functions: to provide a seamless and coherent home based, community outreach service, using the (AMBIT) model and to offer next day assessments for children and young people presenting at the A&E department following episodes of deliberate self harm.
Some of your responsibilities will be
*** To be clinically responsible for the management of all patients referred to the CAMHS outreach team. *** To provide clinical leadership, medical advice and consultation to the team,
***and together with other members of the supervisory team, to provide leadership, supervision, team maintenance, reflection, risk management, and learning to the key workers on the team.
You will also supervise non-training grade doctors and psychiatric trainees allocated to the team.
